I’m on the plane, flying home from DC.

What a great week! This morning i finished my eighth speaking event this week near the DCA airport and jumped on the 2:30pm flight to MSP.

This weekend is going to be a busy one. When I land I’m hitting the ground running in search for some props for the photo-shoot next week. One item on my list is giant clown sunglasses in hot pink…hmm, i have no clue where to find those. Wish me luck! LOL
Tomorrow I have a staff meeting at Peppermint Park. It’s going to be a SUPER busy week at the showroom because we have a ton of new product being delivered. It should all be on the website in no more than two weeks!

Danika, Lucus and myself are heading to NYC on Monday for the photo shoot with Mike Ruiz. We also have lots of press meetings and we are going to hit up of few showrooms (Chinese Laundry, Free People, etc) to buy more goodies. It is going to be a crazy busy week. We decided to bring the video camera so you will be able to follow along in the chaotic adventure!

My favorite thing ever, is getting a good deal. I think it’s stupid that all the other retailers and etailers mark up their product 300% . At Peppermint Park everything is on sale all the time. Our passion is to bring you steals and deals on all your favorite brand names. Paying retail price is soooo yesterday.

Hi!

I’m eating a box of wheat thins right now for lunch. I just got back from driving through the sloppy, wet, snowing streets of Alexandria, VA.

Now I’m back in my hotel planning 2 things:

1. Next weeks photoshoot in NYC with Mike Ruiz (www.mikeruiz.com). He is amazing! I am so excited for this next shoot with him. We are planning on 10 different looks for the front page of the website

2. I am also planning our next trip to Italy to purchase more handbags. Danika and Terri will be going in February to make the next buy for fall. They will also be picking up some “immediates” (available now) so those should be up on the website in March! I can’t wait for newer season and new styles!

There are so many fun things happening. I hope you keep checking back everyday because we are constantly adding new product! Did you see the new “Trash and Luxury” that went up last night? Make sure to check it out!

Happy Monday, Peppermint Peeps!

I am on my way to DC.

I had a truly lovely weekend, especially yesterday.

Danika and I visited the Minneapolis Midwest Apparel show. We usually go to Magic in Vegas and StyleMax in Chicago but this small show is always fun because its close to home! We bought a ton of new product for Peppermint Park. Some of what we purchased were “immediates” (available for immediate delivery) so within the next month you will be seeing it on the website. My two favorite lines we picked up yesterday were “Sock it to Me” and “Henry and Belle.”

First of all I must say, I love socks . You all will LOVE this brand. Socks are the new trend to wear with boots, especially if they are a conversation piece, like the “socks with sushi” or “socks and french toast!” The best part is that these socks usually retail well over $10 but because you are a member of Peppermint Park they should be on the site for no more than $6. You can’t beat that! They are super cute gifts too!

The other brand, Henry and Belle, you will die over! They are a denim line and they have been seen on all the celebrities! While we were placing our order, the line rep showed us the request he just received from Kristen Bell’s stylist, “Kristen is in love with her Henry and Belles, we need more!”. Both Danika and I got a pair of these lovely jeans on the spot!

These should be in within the next two weeks, so make sure you keep checking back. This denim line is perfect for any shape or size: they have a bit of stretch, they maintain their shape and they make your butt look aaaaaammmazzing . Also, these jeans retail around $150 but as a member, they shouldn’t be over $90 on Peppermint Park!

Happy Saturday Peppermint Peeps

Last night at 6:13pm we reached a mile stone. Danika popped champagne in the breakroom and we toasted to you, our Peppermint Park members. We love and appreciate you all and YOU are the reason we work so hard everyday!

Today at 1:00am I woke up in the Delta Skylounge in the San Fransisco airport. I was waiting for my flight and I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I ended up running to my gate and thank goodness I made the flight.

I have been sneaking in sleep anywhere I can get it these days. We have been incredibly busy at Peppermint Park and I have to be honest, I hate closing my eyes because I don’t want to miss a minute of it!

Unfortunately, when I landed in Minneapolis this morning I had to sleep. My eyes just were not cooperating with me and unless I used toothpicks to keep my eyelids open, they weren’t budging. I fell asleep and woke up at 10:00am. I missed my workout but I broke a sweat putting on my jeans so I figured that was a workout enough.

I raced to Peppermint Park and jammed to Kelly Clarkson the whole drive

I can’t explain the feeling I get every time I walk through the door of our office. I LOVE being here. I just placed an order for the newest collection of Mulberry bags, who wouldn’t love that! Danika and Molly are unpacking our newest Prada, Catrice made a new order for JJ Winters and Big Buddha, Lucus and Justine and shooting new product and Jennifer is filling all of our new orders today!

Is anyone entering into a winter fashion funk? Well there are many different ways to lend you a pre spring pick me up. The first being invite some friends over and throw an au revoir winter party. There’s nothing like a good party or intimate gathering for a seasonal pick me up. I had a spare hour in Concord, CA today so I’m getting my hair done.

The last time I did anything to my hair was September. I didn’t have any time so I used a box color and I destroyed a hotel bathroom, but now I’m at the salon.

I thought this would be a nice treat but I am seriously biting my fingernails off. I hate to sit still. Thank goodness for my iPad and Blackberry. Did you know that every blog I have written for Peppermint Park was typed on my Blackberry? Its amazing what chubby fingers can do if trained properly. Actually I use my thumb and pointer finger to type, most people laugh at me, but I’ll challenge them to a typing contest any day. I have mad typing skills

This morning we ordered more shoes! You will LOVE them. Also, more clothes and handbags are coming in! It has been bustling around the office. Keep checking back everyday because new product is constantly going up.
