I flew into LA on Monday from NYC. It has been a super busy week especially since Danika and Terri have been in Italy!
This has been a week full of buying for Peppermint Park. With me at Coterie/ENK in NYC and Danika and Terri in Italy, we have so many new goodies coming in! I am so excited for you to see it all!

If you haven’t looked yet, you need to see all the new shoes that have gone up! One of my favorites is Sergio Zelcer. He was the ORIGINAL red sole shoe!

Also, the new Luichiny wedges are to die for. New handbags have gone up and well as Just Cavalli, Theory, Splendid and so much more. Make sure to check the first pages of “Fashion” everyday because new goodies are going up daily.

Today, Jennifer and Sarah are adding Lodis handbags! We have the GORGEOUS bag that Blair carried on Gossip Girl! Make sure to snag yours ASAP because these will fly off the shelf, especially at Peppermint Park prices!

Ciao Bella! Day Three and I am just learning to adjust to this time zone difference. Amazing how it sneaks up every time we are here!

It is 1:07 am on Friday, Florence time of course and I wanted to share with you all a little taste of what we do here when we are not in meetings with designers or buying. Here we go…

We drink LOTS of espresso

We eat LOTS of pasta!

We RIDE in the vehicle which takes us to meetings and buying. It would be a disaster if I got behind the wheel.

We enjoy the breath-taking views!

We packed our bags, boarded our flight and 12 hours later….we are in Florence!

This city is beautiful. I think it was everything I imagined it to be and WAY MORE!

We landed around 12:05 Florence time (as I like to call it). My blackberry updated and is working under a network known as “I TIM” (bonus points if you know what that is…?), however, my lap top time still reads 2:47pm and as I sit typing at 9:47 pm Florence time my eyes are still wide awake from the excitement of the day. AND THE FOOD! This is a cheese plate from the restaurant across the street from our hotel – simply amazing!

We spent the day looking at premium denim and a few handbag lines. To help you get a little excited, we will be bringing back 10 new styles of 7 For All Mankind! And that is only the beginning!

One of my favorite things about traveling is people watching – I love it. This is a photo I took enroute to our hotel this afternoon. It is fairly common to see ladies zipping around on these little scooters with skinny jeans, boots and a hot leather jacket! Dress like one of these chic scooter-cruising Italians via PeppermintPark.com – we have it all!

Hello from New York City!

After a fun filled night of bowling at Lucky Strike and karaoke in K-town I am now off to the Javits Center for a Peppermint Park shopping day!

I’ve thrown on my Henry and Belle denim, a Marc Jacobs tee and my fave Vera Wang black boots and I’m ready to do some power shopping. I have lots of walking to do today because the Javits Center is enormous! My goals are:

1. Find new lines for the site.
2. Find great deals
3. Buy immediates- so we can get them up on the site as soon as possible!

I will definitely post some pictures later of my new finds for the website! Have you seen all the new goodies?! There is new product going up DAILY!

Our last trip to New York City was nothing short of absolutely amazing!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Its a very been a very busy day at Peppermint Park

This morning Danika and I went to 6:30am yoga. I was late but I managed to sneak in the class while everyone was still in child’s pose. Thank goodness I made that class because I needed some balance to start my day!

From 8:00am-2:30pm I was in the office and I literally did not stop moving. It was glorious! It has been so busy and I love the constant buzz . New product and happy members = VERY HAPPY CEO!

Make sure to check the website tonight because new goodies should be up!

Also, for those of you wondering where Gucci went, we will be adding more this week! We sold out! Our next delivery is in 2 weeks so it will be up for purchase with a longer delivery. Also, Danika and Terri will be leaving for Italy on Sunday so we should have more styles and quantity .

I’m off to Seattle now! Lots of Valentine’s Day LOVE! Eat lots of chocolate today!

Happy Sunday

Today we are tagging! Yes, we work weekends and I love it!

We received an abundance of new product this week and we are receiving much more next week so we are catching up this weekend. We want to get it up on the website as soon as possible because it is gooooorrgeous!

When a shipment arrives the first thing that we do is make sure everything purchased is accounted for. Sometimes we don’t receive the full size run, a style is not included or the quantities are off, so its always important to double check every item. This week over 2000 new pieces came in so I’m sure you can imagine how long it takes to account for every style and size!
Next we have to upload the products to the website. This requires us to put every product into an excel sheet with appropriate sizes and colors. Once this is uploaded you still cannot shop these products because they don’t have pictures, but this allows us to print tags and add descriptions to each product.

Today we are tagging! Once the tagging is complete then the photography can begin. After all the photos are shot they need to be retouched and then… FINALLY…. The product is available for you to shop!

Remember this intake process takes place every week because we are constantly getting new product in so make sure to be checking back everyday. We are usually waiting on an average of 5-10 shipments at a time so you can imagine each department within Peppermint Park is constantly bustling and buzzing!

Morning!

Its 5:00am and I’m already on the plane.
It is way too early but I’m on my way back to Minneapolis so life is sooooo good! I can’t wait to get back into the showroom. Today is going to be a very busy day and I can’t wait!

While I was half asleep walking through the airport like a zombie guess what I found?! The MARCH ISSUE of WOMEN’S HEALTH and guess who is featured….? PEPPERMINT PARK! Check it out! We are on page 133!
